INDIAN ACTRESS AND MODEL- RIYA SEN

Riya Sen was born on January 24, 1981 in Kolkata, India. Her nick name is RIA She is five feet five inches tall girl. Her eyes are in light brown color. Her mother name is Moon moon Sen and her father name is Bharat Dev Burman. Her father hails from royal family of Tripura. She is the grand daughter of Suchitra Sen (the Great Indian Actress). Her mother was also film actress. Her grandmother is a successful Bollywood actress. She has done lots of Bengali movies and Hindi movies. Her Hindi movies including
Devdas, Champakali, Andhi and Musafir. Her mother appeared in various Hindi movies and Bengali movies including It Was Raining That Night, Love at Times square and Ek Din Achanak She has one sister and her name is Raima Sen. Her sister is also bollywood actress. Her paternal grandmother name is IIa Devi; she was the princess of Cooch Behar. She has completed graduation from Rani Birla College in Kolkata. After some times, she came to Mumbai (city of film industry).She stays with her sister and mother in Mumbai. She wanted to spend her time with her family members including sister, grandmother, mother and father. But all family members are busy in their life.

At the age of 15, Riya Sen faced the camera for the Tamil film “Taj Mahal” which was directed by Bharti Raja. In 1999, she has started her film career from the film “Love You Hamesha”; Akshay Khanna was the co-star of her in this movie. This film did not do well at the box office. She has done lots of music videos such as Jagjit Singh and Asha Bhosle’s Jab Samne Tum and Kahin Kahin Se, her performance was good in these music videos. After this, she got name and fame overnight. She never looks back. She has done good job in N. Chandra’s Style movie. She was appreciated by audiences after watching this movie. Her latest movie was Jhankar Beats; this was a multi-starrer movie. This movie did do well at the box office.

Riya Sen has done lots of movies including Good Luck, Style, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Qayamat, Plan, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa, James, Tum…Ho Na! and Anandabhadram. Her forthcoming movie is “The Bachelor”.
